In african counties like ours, education is instrumental in the fight for developemnt and against povrety.

For the Diaka Camara Fundation, access to quality education in Guinea is a priority, especially for girls and young women.

We focus on young childern because wenwant to give them as ealrly as possible the set of knowledge and skills required to succeed later.

To be sustainable, development needs to be inclusive. Education is one of the most powerful weapon against gender-based violence and povrety, hence the commitment of the Diaka Camara Fondation to the fight agains GBV in all its forms.

Who are we?

The Fundation Diaka Camara is a non-profit organisation working to improve the education level of pupils and students in the Republic of Guinea. We promote early access to quality education and academic excellence as the main tool to overcome our contry’s socioeconomic challenges.

Our vision

We are convinced that education is at the core of african countries’ fight against povrety. the Fundation Diaka Camara has dedided to contribute to this fight in the republic of Guinea. We propote early access to quality education all around the country and focus on youth for a simple reason: good primary education is instrumental for pupils and students success later in life.

Improving acces to education and the quality of teachings accessible is the main focus of the Diaka Camara Fundation, with a special attention to girls and young woman who face greater challenges in this domain.

Our mission

The mission of the Diaka Camara Fundation is to improve access to quality education, to contribute to the progession of literacy among childerns, to help those in needs, namely poor families and orphans, and to fight agains gender based violence everywhere.

  • Improving access to education to give childerns the tools they need in their everyday life and career, and to help them fully  realize their potential
  • Setting up and supporting “reading space” in schools
  • Helping with education related needs: tutoring, school supplies and grants
  • Supporting academic excellence with a awards and equipment
  • Advocating and promoting school attendance among girls and young women
  • Supporting orphans and those in need by leveraging our fundraising capabilities

  • #Brisonslesilence2021: Awareness campaign on the topic of gender based violence and genital mutilation
  • Renovation of the library of the high school “du 2 Octobre”, december 2020
  • Christmas party and gifts given to the kids of three orphanages in Conakry, december 2020
  • 12 000 000 GNF towards the purchase of a video game development licence for the project African Heros, a game showcasing african historical figures. This amazing education and cultural awareness project will be used in schools across the country to introduce students to their shared history and cultural values, july 2020
  • Launch of a Telethon fundraiser as part of the Fundation Diaka Camara’s drive to supports poor communities and fight the spread of COVID-19, april 2020
  • Production of a documentary film on the topic of underage marraige (Enquete d’Afrique) for the international broadcasting company Canal +; 2020
  • In kind donations to the orphanage “God is Love” in Nongo, 2018
